In contrast, an app, short for application, is a software program designed to run on specific operating systems (e.g., iOS or Android) and is installed on a device. While both web platforms and apps can provide similar functionalities, the primary difference is the method of access and installation. Web platforms are accessed through web browsers, while apps are installed on devices from app stores.
